Announcing New REST API Methods for Enhanced Integrations with SIP Caller

We are excited to announce the expansion of the SIP Caller REST API with new methods to provide even greater flexibility and control to our users. These updates open the door to more seamless integrations and enhanced campaign management for our growing user base.

What’s New?

The SIP Caller REST API now includes the following methods:

  • List Campaigns: Retrieve a comprehensive list of all your campaigns, allowing you to filter the results by different fields.
  • List Campaign Numbers: Access the numbers associated with specific campaigns, optionally filtering the results by the entire number or a part of it.
  • Delete Campaign Numbers: Remove numbers from campaigns effortlessly.

These new methods empower developers to build more sophisticated integrations by giving them direct access to critical campaign data and the ability to manage campaign numbers programmatically.

Enhanced Security with New API Roles

To ensure secure and precise control over these new API capabilities, we have introduced two new roles for API Keys:

  • Campaign Reader: Grants read-only access to campaign details and associated numbers. Perfect for monitoring and reporting integrations.
  • Campaign Number Admin: Provides administrative permissions to delete numbers from campaigns, ensuring proper control over campaign management tasks.

When creating an API Key for use with the REST API, users can assign these roles to maintain the highest level of security and role-based access control within their teams.

How to Get Started

To use the REST API, you’ll need to create an API key. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to SIP Caller: Start by logging into your SIP Caller dashboard.
  2. Navigate to API Settings: Go to 'Settings' > ‘API Keys’.

  1. Create a New API Key: Click on 'Create' and you’ll be prompted to name your key, establish an expiration, and enable the roles you want to give to it.
  2. Copy the API Key Token: Once created, copy the API key token that will be shown. Please note that this token is only shown once, if you lose it you will need to create another API Key. You’ll need this key for authenticating your API requests.

Use the generated API Key Token to make requests to the new endpoints. Detailed documentation, including examples, is available in the SIP Caller Documentation Page.
