Getting Started

Introduction

SIP Caller is a cloud-based outbound dialer that works with the phone system you already have. It makes calls on your behalf, handles each answered call automatically, with a call flow or an AI conversational agent, or connects it to your agents, and reports the result of every call.

This documentation explains how to set up and use every part of SIP Caller from the Web Console. Use the menu on the left to browse the sections, or start with the Quick Start to launch your first campaign in a few minutes.

How SIP Caller works

SIP Caller connects to your phone system as a remote extension, just like a phone. When a campaign is running, SIP Caller calls each number through that extension, so calls go out through your own trunks, with your own Caller IDs and dialing rules.

Every call follows the same steps:

  1. SIP Caller dials the number through your phone system, at the pace defined by the dialer mode of the campaign.
  2. The call is answered, and SIP Caller detects whether a human or a voicemail answered.
  3. SIP Caller handles the call: it runs a call flow (for example, playing a message, collecting DTMF input, or transferring the call to a queue), or connects the call to an AI conversational agent that talks naturally with your contact.
  4. The result is recorded: the outcome of the call is available in the reports, and can be sent to your own systems in real time with webhooks. Failed calls are retried automatically, according to the campaign settings.

Key concepts

  • Phone Systems: the connection between SIP Caller and your PBX, such as 3CX, FreePBX / Asterisk, Yeastar, or any SIP account.
  • Call Flows: the actions performed when a call is answered, such as prompts with text-to-speech, DTMF menus and transfers. Templates are available for the most common scenarios.
  • AI Agents: AI conversational agents that can talk with your contacts, answer their questions and collect information, using the AI provider of your choice.
  • Campaigns: the numbers to call, when to call them, and how. The dialer mode defines how fast calls are made: Power, Predictive or Progressive.
  • Reports: the details of every call and every number, and an analysis of the results of your campaigns.
  • Settings: your account, users, campaign defaults, contact lists, black lists, API keys, webhooks, and more.

Integrations

SIP Caller can be integrated with your CRM, ERP or any in-house system. The REST API lets your applications create campaigns, add numbers and read results, and webhooks notify your systems in real time when campaigns change state or calls end. See the developer documentation for details.
